Call your Senators to strongly urge that the Senate version of health care reform legislation be made public, receive a Congressional Budget Office score, and include time for the public review and comment before a vote.
Media reports indicate that Sen. Mitch McConnell is trying to find 50 votes for a Senate “Repeal and Replace” health care bill so that it can be brought to a vote before Congress recesses for the summer. We must demand that the Senate bill be shared with the American people. And we must ensure that key provisions such as coverage for pre-existing conditions are included in the bill and that states can’t opt out of those provisions, causing millions of people to lose their health care coverage, as would be the case in the House version of the bill.
